In addition to offering superior resistance to oxidising media compared to the family standard, C-276 alloy, its high chromium concentration also confers outstanding resistance to chloride-induced pitting, a sneaky and unanticipated kind of attack to which stainless steels are susceptible. Hastelloy C22 Flanges have outstanding weldability, is exceptionally ductile, and can be formed readily into industrial components.

Hastelloy C22 Flanges

Additionally, Hastelloy C22 Pipe Flange provides the highest level of resistance to environments with reducing and oxidising conditions seen in process streams. This is advantageous in multipurpose plants where frequent "upset" situations exist. Hastelloy C22 Flange is suitable for the majority of chemical process applications in the as-welded condition because it resists the production of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone. Due to the production of harmful phases above this temperature, Hastelloy C22 Flanges should not be utilised in service temperatures of more than 1250° F.

Hastelloy C22 Flanges are resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking and display outstanding resistance to both reducing and oxidizing media. Hastelloy C22 Flanges have excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media. Hastelloy C22 Flanges showcase resistance to a wide variety of chemical process environments including strong oxidizers such as ferric acids, acetic anhydride, and seawater and brine solutions. Hastelloy C22 Flanges resist the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone. Hastelloy C22 Flanges are easy to weld.
