Austenitic-ferritic Stainless steel is known as Super Duplex UNS S32750. Excellent corrosion resistance against pitting and crevice corrosion is provided by Super Duplex UNS S32750. Super Duplex UNS S32750 has a high chromium and molybdenum content, which ensures high tensile strength. High thermal conductivity and minimal thermal expansion are further characteristics of the chemical composition. Many of the common electric arc welding techniques work well for welding alloy S32750, although oxyacetylene welding is not advised due to the possibility of carbon pickup in the weld metal.
After hot or cold forming, alloy S32750 should be solution annealed and quenched. At least 1052 oC should be used for solution annealing. A variety of industries use UNS S32750, such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, chemicals, shipping, pulps and papers, and desalination facilities.
