Hastelloy is a high nickel alloy. The other alloying metals included in this alloy are Chromium and molybdenum. Their uses are spread across several different industries. Hastelloy plates have exceptional resistance to corrosion and high strength. Hastelloy performs well in high temperatures since it has exceptional resistance to high temperatures. It is weldable with amazing welding capacity and resistance to oxidizing agents and acids. They are very ductile and can be easily formed and fabricated. The addition of Molybdenum in Hastelloy makes it better workable. Most of its properties make it an alloy metal that is better than Incoloy. The different grades of Hastelloy plates have a very different and unique chemical compositions.

The chromium percentages vary between 1% to 25%, the iron varies between 0% to 30% whereas the Molybdenum usually lies between 5% to 25%. The other chemicals include titanium, tungsten, carbon, etc. The raw materials used in Hastelloy plates are of high grades. Hastelloy is used in several chemical processes. They are an extremely reliable alloy and hence they are also used in the industries of geothermal and solar energy, pharmaceuticals, and oil and gas industry. They are also resistant to stress cracking. They are also resistant to uniform attack and localized general corrosion.
