An alloy of nickel and copper with a high tensile strength and corrosion resistance is called Monel. Up to 67 percent of the metal is nickel. Iron, carbon, silicon, and manganese make up the remaining components of Monel. The corrosion resistance and rust resistance of Monel are well known properties. It is also possible to burn some alloys in pure oxygen. Corrosion and acid resistance are among its features.
