Duplex Steel & Alloys is a famous Stainless

The lower carbon form of the 310
plates, 310S Stainless
Steel, is less prone to embrittlement and sensitization in service. They are
commonly utilized in mildly carburizing atmospheres, such as those found in petrochemical
plants. Because of the risk of thermal shock, these grades are not advised for frequent liquid
quenching. Because of its hardness and low magnetic permeability, it is frequently employed in
cryogenic applications.
Applications of SS 310/310S Plates:
1. These grades of stainless steel plate are used in the manufacture of
cryogenic components as well as in the building of furnace components such as burners,
recuperations, doors, fans, and pipes. Because these stainless steel grades can tolerate
extremely high temperatures, they are widely employed in the food processing sector, as well as
the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
2. They are also utilized in fluid bed furnaces, coal combustion engines, grids, pipelines, and
wind boxes. These grades are also often utilized in the petroleum refining sector, specifically
in catalytic recovery systems, flares, recuperates, and tube hangers.
3. This grade is utilized in power production applications, such as the internals of coal
gasifiers, pulverized coal burners, and tube hangers. The features of this stainless steel plate
are also used in sintering and cement plants in burners and burner shields, feeding and
discharging systems, and wind boxes.
4. Thermal processing is another area that makes extensive use of these stainless steel grades.
It's used in annealing covers and boxes, burner grids, doors, fans, muffles, retorts, and
walking beams, among other things. These stainless steel plate grades can endure extremely high
temperatures, making them valuable in a variety of sectors.
