These 321H
Plates are also used in diluted organic acid at medium
temperatures. Grade 321 plates have some key features like high tensile strength,
durability, formability, flexibility, and chemical stability. Grade 321 / 321H stainless
steel plate is also used for high-temperature services because of its good mechanical
properties. Alloy grade 321H stainless steel plate is the higher carbon version of the
alloy containing around 0.04 - 0.10 percent of carbon content in their total chemical
composition. It was developed for enhanced creep resistance and higher strength at
temperatures above 537°C. Premium 321 grade SS plate offers higher creep and stress
rupture properties compared to grade 304 and, also grade 304L, which might also be
considered for exposure in the applications where sensitization and intergranular
corrosion are concerns.
There are several industrial applications of grade 321 / 321H plates
