Stainless Steel 321 / 321H Buttweld Fittings

Grade 321 is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance. These grade SS 321 Buttweld Fitting is very resistant to oxidation and inter-granular corrosion up to 850 º C in dry air service conditions.

Alloy grade 321 buttweld Fittings are the same as SS 304; however, this fitting comprises a Titanium adding of at least 5 times the carbon content. This accumulation is made to decrease or remove chromium carbide precipitation, ensuing from exposure or welding to high temp.

Stainless Steel 321 Buttweld Fittings

Some of the top features of these grade buttweld fittings are great mechanical properties, strength, and metallurgical properties. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 427 - 816°C. SS grade 321 is the most useful & highly demanded grade of the Stainless Steel series due to its excellent properties and general usage in a supremely corrosive environment. In addition to this, the buttweld fitting 321H grade product is very sustainable and strong compared to similar range SS equipment. It is also used to reduce the chromium of the carbide precipitation. 321H is the higher carbon version of the SS alloy, containing around 0.04–0.10 percent of the carbon in their overall chemical composition.

It was developed for enhanced creep resistance and higher strength.
