forged fittings. The SS 904L fitting is an unstabilized low carbon
austenitic stainless steel. These forged fittings are highly reliable and
durable compared to similar range forge fittings.904L grade stainless steel
fittings have excellent resistance to hot seawater and chloride attack.
These forged fittings are generally resistant form the high heat
temperatures and easily sustainable in harsh conditions without any
deformation to the fittings.
The 904L grade is less resistant to nitric acid than the
304L and 310L grades, which are free of molybdenum. Furthermore, the
addition of copper to these grades develops resistance to sulphuric acid and
other reducing agents in both aggressive and mild conditions. These grades
904L forged fittings contain a maximum quantity of 0.02 percent carbon
content and around 23-28 percent nickel content in their overall chemical
composition. These forged fittings are generally resilient from the high
heat temperatures and easily sustainable in harsh conditions without any
deformation to the fittings.

904L forged fittings are
a silicon-based manganese alloy. It is pure stainless steel which offers great
resistivity to stress corrosion cracking, intergranular corrosion, and crevice
corrosion. Vital Applications of this grade 904L forged fittings in numerous industries
are the food processing industry, seawater cooling device, gas scrubbing plant, Seawater
cooling devices, Wiring in electrostatic precipitators, Pulp, and paper processing
industries, chemical processing industry, desalination plant, Oil refinery components,
Acetic, phosphoric and sulfuric acid treatment plants. The 904L grade contains large
amounts of expensive materials, such as molybdenum and nickel.
The high resistance of grade 904L to stress corrosion is due to the
presence of large amounts of nickel in its composition. Our SS 904L Forged Fittings are
designed to exhibit higher resistance in a corrosive chemical environment like they can
be exposed to sulfuric acid and chloride solutions. Duplex Steel & Alloys provide
